- Green-winged teal! (what a great sighting–saw it by chance when I heard a lot of honks from the Mallard : turns out it was being chased by this teal!!) — Male and Female. Prominent white stripe on the side
- Ring-Necked duck
- Bufflehead
- Pied-Billed Grebe (possibly!–might have also been female of American Coot–just saw a small beak and dark rounded body)
- Turkey Vulture
- American Coot
- Red-bellied woodpecker (starting to recognize its very distinct call)
- Downy/hairy woodpecker
- Black-capped chikadee
- Winter Wren (less prominent eye stripe and no rustic brown color)
- Carolina Wren (very clear white stripe and red-orange color with pattern on the back)
- Golden-crowned kinglet
- Northern Cardinal
- Red-winged blackbird
