January 14th, 2017– Bruce Trail from Tiffany Falls to Sherman Falls

Approximate Conditions: -3 °C, gray and cloudy

I got to see a winter waterfall! It was lovely.

I have never seen so many birds in a flock together during winter.

  • Canada Geese
  • UI Gull
  • Red-bellied woodpecker
  • Downy woodpecker
  • Hairy Woodpecker
  • American Goldfinch (approximately 24!)
  • Northern Cardinal
  • American Robin (approximately 12!)
  • Black-capped Chikadee
  • White-breasted Nuthatch
    All American Goldfinches!

There was a larger patch of birds near the stairs leading down to the waterfalls then there were in the whole patch leading up to either waterfall.
